About Atezolizumab

In lung cancer, Atezolizumab 1200 mg Injection is used in the treatment alone or with other chemotherapy medicine. This injection works by stopping the action of certain types of protein that are responsible for the growth of cancer cells. This will stop the growth of cancer cells in the patient’s body. This medicine comes in the injection form that is injected into the vein over 20 to 30 minutes. Generally, this injection is given once every 2, 3, or 4 weeks depending on the response of treatment. Duration and dose of treatment depend on the age, body weight, overall health, and response to the treatment. Taking more than the prescribed dose will increase the chance of side effects.

Fever, chills, dizziness, shortness of breath, breathing problems, itching, rash, neck or back pain, shaking, flushing, or swelling of lips or face may be visible after taking this medicine. Consult your doctor for further medical advice.

Precautions

  • By mistake, if you missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. But the next dose timing should be more than 8 hours.
  • At the beginning of the treatment tell about the medicine that you have allergic to your doctor.
  • In the past if you ever had a problem in bone marrow or had radiation therapy in the chest area, breathing problem, or nervous problem. Inform at starting of the treatment with Atezolizumab Injection.
  • Women who are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding should consult the doctor before taking this injection.
  • This injection may decrease fertility in women during medication.
  • Anyhow you have taken over the dose of this medicine, immediately consult your doctor. This will increase the chance of side effects and affect your health.
